Post Workout Must-Haves
I just started working out with a personal trainer and she pushed me so hard that I literally had to run to the restroom and vomit, that is another blog altogether; however, it was a great workout and when our session was finished she recommended two products that I should be taking post-workout.
The company states that this protein powder will build and repair your muscles post-workout, and support recovery. It contains:
- 30 grams plant-based protein
- 6 grams BCAAs
- 1 billion CFU probiotics [bacillus coagulans]
and the protein powder comes in: Berry, Vanilla, Chocolate and Mocha flavor
This supplement contains 1000mg free-form amino acids plus l-glutamine & B-vitamins per 2 capsule serving. It claims to support lean muscle mass & post workout recovery.
Further information states that L-leucine, l-isoleucine, and l-valine, commonly known as branched chain amino acids or bcaas, cannot be produced by the body and must be consumed through diet or dietary supplements. They are essential to building and maintaining muscle tissue and have long been used by athletes and other active individuals to activate protein synthesis and help reduce muscle breakdown caused by intense training or physical activity.
I will see how these two supplements assist me over time but until then I am super excited to be on this fitness journey and taking better care of myself!
